Erie City Code Enforcement
The policy of the Code Enforcement Department is to protect and promote the existence of sound buildings and wholesome neighborhoods. Code Enforcement responds to concerns from citizens that affect the quality of life within the city such as zoning, overgrown lots or yards, the proper maintenance of structures, illegal signs and public nuisances. These Inspections are performed throughout the city to ensure that properties are in compliance with city code.

The Erie Redevelopment Authority’s mission is to Renew, Rebuild, and Revitalize the City of Erie, Pennsylvania. Since the 1970s, The Redevelopment Authority has been involved, and will continue to be a part of initiatives and programs designed to improve downtown Erie, neighborhood business districts, and residential neighborhoods.

Neighborhood Action Team
The Neighborhood Action Team (NAT) was established in February of 2002 and was originally established under the Community Development Block Grant to combat inner city crimes of violence and gang activity. Duties also include many nuisance crime and problems brought to our attention by the neighborhood watch groups. The main focus of patrol is north of 26th Street to the Bayfront and East Ave to Cranberry St.
