Join friends and neighbors to get active, build community, and explore the Our West Bayfront neighborhoods!

West Bay Walks is a 6-week self-paced walking challenge from Wednesday, July 7th– Sunday, August 15th that will include routes throughout the Our West Bayfront neighborhoods. Each walk will cover a new route through the beautiful and historic neighborhoods of the West Bayfront highlighting a variety of points of interest including a scavenger hunt, children’s walk, historic buildings, beautiful views, and more!

Themes will include The Bay-Rat Beat, The Landscape Around Us, Only in the OWB – Small Businesses, Choose Your Own Adventure Walk and Children’s Walk, Scavenger Hunt, and Home Again in the OWB.

Route maps may be picked up Wednesday evenings from July 7th to August 11th at the West BayFit events at Bayview Park anytime between 6PM to 8PM.


Weekly Walks Schedule:

Week 1 (July 7 – 11): The Bay-Rat Beat Walk 

Week 2 (July 12 – 18): The Landscape Around Us

Week 3 (July 19 – 25): Only in the OWB – Local Businesses Serving Our Community 

Week 4 (July 26 –  August 1): Choose Your Own Adventure Walk

Week 6: (August 9 – 15): Home Again in the OWB and Oh the Places You’ll Go Book Trail for Children

Join members of Preservation Erie for a bike tour of this Home Again in the OWB walk on August 11th at 6PM. They are meeting at the Our West Bayfront tent during West BayFit at Bayview Park! They will start rolling at 6:10PM, don’t miss out!

The Book Trail will also be available at West BayFit, this trail features pages from the Dr. Seuss book Oh, the Places You’ll Go! This Book Trail is great for families and kids to enjoy at Bayview Park during West BayFit.
